Updated February 17, 2023, by Michael Llewellyn: With the confirmation of a new title in the works, Mafia is still worth playing or replaying as a trilogy if you are a fan of mobster stories and games with fantastic historical settings.
Fortunately, other great games will appeal to fans of the Mafia trilogy, whether you enjoy playing on the right or the wrong side of the law, or somewhere in between. As a trilogy, the mobster series should keep you busy for a long time.
The well-told story of Mafia is intact, and the gameplay features some refinements while keeping the sense of familiarity you'll feel towards the original game.
